Darnley Lodge Hotel - Athboy

This hotel is nice, and has free Wi-Fi, a cozy bar/lounge, and helpful luggage storage. The staff even assisted me in returning my forgotten earphones. I highly recommend enjoying the generous food portions in the restaurant. I'm coming back for a romantic escape.

The location couldn't be more good and unbeatable to upstairs area. Besides, it was short walk to the nightclub, several local attractions and the festival. The staff were all lovely friendly, and the room was exceptional with a good shower.

I loved the convenience of being just a few minutes from the Hill of Ward and Causey Farm, making my strolls through the area quite enjoyable, and I can't wait to return for more adventures in this lovely location where the staff are genuinely friendly and the hotel has a warm atmosphere.

But they really need to sort out that room service, eh? Still, would come back for sure!

Generous meal portions and engaging weekend music.

It was a great stay while visiting family nearby. The room was not only spotlessly clean but had a super comfy bed that made for a relaxing retreat after a long day. I also loved the atmosphere in the bar. there was live music on Saturday night that really added to the experience, making it feel lively yet cozy. Plus, the on-site parking with security was a nice touch, ensuring our vehicle felt safe and secure.

We spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel with our young child. The staff was cute. We also enjoyed some delicious meals, and the nearby Causey Farm provided a wonderfully fun outing for the whole family.

In my wife's opinion, a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries would be great.

An lovely anniversary celebration with attentive staff and really good service. The personal touch, such as the custom dinner menu and the warm greetings from Joe, created a cute ambiance that heightened our experience. The fresh local fish served at dinner was delectable, leaving us greatly satisfied. The Wi-Fi connectivity was inconsistent , a bit frustrating.

The hotel is really cozy and the staff super friendly, especially the restaurant team who were the best. We had brekkie with pancakes and they were delish. Loads of options to choose from! Our double room was spacious and comfy . Parking was easy peasy too. Would totally come back for a chill time!

I also appreciated the lovely food at the bar, where the staff were eager to engage with guests. Nearby attractions, like the Hill of Ward, were just a few minutes away, great to enjoy nice walks without hassle.
